Ingveldur Yr is an experienced Icelandic choral director, classical singer, and voice teacher with a strong background in vocal performance as a former opera singer, leadership, community-based arts work, and humanitarian engagement. Her career has taken her throughout Europe and the USA performing in opera and concerts. Ingveldur Yr holds a music degree from Konservatorium der Stadt Wien and a master's degree in vocal performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York. Founder of the Spectrum vocal group, she studied choir conducting at the National Church's Music School. She attended numerous courses in the field with Spectrum, a.o. led by Eric Whitacre, Paul Phoenix, and Michael McGlynn.
